5. On September 17, 1925, Kahlo was riding in a bus when the vehicle collided with a trolley car. She suffered serious injuries in the accident, including a broken spinal column, a broken collarbone, broken ribs, a broken pelvis, eleven fractures in her right leg, a crushed and dislocated right foot, and a dislocated shoulder. An iron handrail pierced her abdomen and her uterus, which seriously damaged her reproductive ability.

Christina Aguilera the blonde bombshell goes undercover in ginger extensions

Platinum blonde hair and red lips have become her trademark, so it's little wonder Christina Aguilera almost went unrecognised as she stepped out in Los Angeles yesterday.

The 29-year-old Grammy award-winning singer looked nothing like her usual bombshell self as she emerged wearing stringy ginger extensions.

She hid beneath a knitted cap and dark sunglasses, and finished the low-key look off with faded grey jeans, red flip flops and a T-shirt.


Christina was out shopping with her husband, Jordan Bratman, 22.

Jordan was also sporting the grunge look, complete with torn jeans, a plain blue T-shirt and a dark grey shirt that looked like it could do with a good ironing.

The couple even managed to incur a parking ticket for spending too much time shopping.

The pictures of this new casual, red-head Christina are a complete about-face from the photos released yesterday from her upcoming movie, Burlesque.

Speaking about the film, Christina told USA Today: 'It’s sexy, it’s sensual. The whole idea of burlesque has always intrigued me.

'The art of the tease, the dance, beautiful women - need I say more? I think people will definitely feel energised and excited.'

Christina plays Ali Rose in the movie, which tells the story of a young girl who travels to Los Angeles to live her dream, only to find herself making money in a burlseque club.

Burlesque, which also stars Stanley Tucci, Cam Gigandet and Alan Cumming, is due for release in December.

Meet the New Spider-Man: Andrew Garfield ... Who?

Los Angeles-born actor Andrew Garfield, who grew up in England, will step into the spiffy red boots previously occupied by Tobey Maguire for what will be the fourth screen adventure for Spider-Man – also known as Peter Parker.

Something of a familiar (and handsome) face in the U.K. for his TV starring roles on Red Riding and Boy A, Garfield, 26, will be seen on the big screen this fall in The Social Network (director David Fincher's film about Facebook, also starring Justin Timberlake) and in the adaptation of Kazuo Ishiguro's Never Let Me Go. Last year, he appeared in Terry Gilliam's The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus.

From reports, Garfield's stiffest competition for the role came from Josh Hutcherson (The Kids Are All Right), Aaron Johnson (Kick-Ass) and the original Billy Elliot, Jamie Bell.

"Though his name may be new to many, those who know this young actor's work understand his extraordinary talents. He has a rare combination of intelligence, wit and humanity. Mark my words, you will love Andrew Garfield as Peter Parker," says Spidey 4 director Mark Webb, whose debut feature, (500) Days of Summer, developed something of a cult following last year.

The new movie is set to begin filming later this year, for a release in 3-D on July 3, 2012. Its story, Sony Pictures said earlier this year, will take the superhero back to his origins and focus on "a teenager grappling with both contemporary human problems and amazing super-human crises."
