The wedding of former First Daughter Chelsea Clinton to investment banker Marc Mezvinsky is this summer’s final status invitation. The list of guests includes only 400 names. By ordinary standards the size of list is good for a wedding, but barely big enough to accommodate the people who snoozed in the Lincoln Bedroom during Bill Clinton’s presidency. So planning it has been a diplomatic problem of the highest order.
The location of wedding is being kept under wraps, “The wedding planner will contact each guest directly a week in advance and let them know where it is,” a source says. Because of traffic concerns, the Hamptons reportedly are out. More likely is a location in upstate New York, such as Westchester or Dutchess County. Also not on the guest list are Bill Clinton’s love handles: Chelsea instructed her dad to slim down for the reception.
