U.S. Congressman David Cicilline (D-RI) recently recognized the efforts of the Paul W. Crowley East Bay Met School’s Green Team in helping to preserve New England’s environment.
The Green Team was named the Environmental Protection Agency‘s 2011 Environmental Merit Award for Environmental for Community, Academia & Non-Profit Organizations.
The MET School serves students from Newport, Portsmouth and Middletown.
“Paul W. Crowley East Bay Met School’s Green Team is making a significant impact on the quality of our environment, and their work will benefit future generations. I applaud Green Team for their commitment to raising the environmental consciousness of local Rhode Island students to preserve our environment and keep it sustainable for generations to come,” said Congressman Cicilline.
